Paper Platforms

Paper Platforms

The first night back at Scouts after the Summer is always a fun one! We like to challenge the Patrols to use teamwork to do something great. This year was no different. Armed with handfuls of paper straws, a roll of sticky tape and 5 elastic bands, the Patrols were challenged to build a platform that could hold various objects, all varying in weight.

We ended up with 3 paper platforms, all of which managed to hold at least 5 objects. If you ask me, the Tigers Patrol (which built the tall, flat platform) were the winners, due to the height of their platform and use of their knowledge of tripod, however all 3 Patrols did end up with “platforms” that held objects so congratulations!

You can view more pictures of the evening over on our Facebook page.
