Farm To Fork Trail

Farm To Fork Trail

Do Cubs eat fruit and vegetables?

No, I hear you cry…but you’re wrong.

As part of our Farm To Fork trail at Tesco  Borehamwood, the Cubs were given the opportunity to try blueberries, kiwi, broccoli and pepper (the green and orange varieties obviously).  It’s difficult to say whether the Cubs enjoyed the fruit and veg, but at least they all tried something new.

The cheese tasting went down an absolute storm (Cheddar, Edam, Applewood and White Stilton with apricots).  So much so, that the Cubs have requested a cheese board for dessert at the next camp.

The tiger bread, or Shere Khan bread as we like to call it, was also devoured.

As well as the tastings, our trail guide Marion took the Cubs round the store, visiting the fish and cheese counters, fruit and veg aisle and the bakery to give them a better understanding of where their food comes from.

You can view more pictures of the evening over on our Facebook page.
